There have been a lot of upsets every week, so, being down by three, I'm taking the gamble and picking a few teams that I think could sneak up. Hell, last week in my Pick'em post I correctly predicted the Vikings and Chiefs to win the game (though I didn't put them in the table, because I'm an idiot sometimes.
Upsets I've got in store this week:
Jets over Bills- Hard to believe that this one is even really an upset, but the Bills are favored here. Jets are improving ever so slightly and I think they can figure out the Bills in this one.
Rams over Cardinals- Cards are hurting a bit. Rams should have Bradford back and I'm excited to see what he can do with Brandon Lloyd and a re-invigorated Steven Jackson.
Games I struggled with:
Broncos and Raiders- Just a gut issue here that the Raiders offense will not be anywhere near good enough, leaving this a low scoring game that the Broncos can edge out.
Steelers and Ravens- Steelers are without a doubt the better of the teams right now... but the Ravens punished them in Week 1.
If you've got an upset in store, let me hear about it.

I think you could've bet on the Bucs and Da Bears as your upsets.
ReplyDeleteI can see a Bucs upset here. Can't see the Bears though.
ReplyDeleteHavent seen an advice time this week, so I will just post my question here.
ReplyDeleteI was recently offered this trade:
I give up: Maurice Jones-Drew and Michael Turner
I get: Dez Bryant and Ryan Mathews
My current running backs are:
Darren McFadden, Michael Turner, Maurice Jones-Drew, Pierre Thomas, and Stevan Ridley
My current wide receivers are:
Wes Welker, Anquan Boldin, DeSean Jackson, Julio Jones, and Malcom Floyd
Yeah, Really any article here is advice time. I'll be sure to put one up now. I just wanted to feature the midseason reviews for a little bit. Lots of work went into them.
ReplyDeleteAs for your trade: it would be easiest to do the math. Check the article I posted here: http://godhateslosers.blogspot.com/2011/10/fantasy-football-strategy-how-to-pick.html. Since this trade is with some huge names, accepting it is going to rely heavily on your scoring system and how many you are allowed to start at each position.
It would seem from first glance to be pretty even. Mathews injury worries me a bit, but I see both of the guys you are getting improving in the second half. Since you have McFadden, and he is hurt as well, it might be tough to get rid of your two other great RBs. so count that as well when you think about this trade.
Ok, Bucs let me down.
ReplyDeleteBut 1-1 on these upsets is not bad.
I believe few (aside from Chicago fans) would have the guts to bet on Da Beas on the road.
