  1. Kellen Winslow unraked purposely?

  2. Thanks for the rankings! Would you go Harvin or McCluster at flex? (afraid to play Felix this week). Also, would you play Romo over Cutler (not AS afraid as w/ Felix, but still a risk given Romo is on MNF). Lastly, how would you rate McCluster's long-term value in a standard league? Thanks!!

  3. Since my above post, I took a gamble and dropped McCluster to pick up Bernard Scott (this roster spot is likely short-term anyway until Felix is healthy). Still curious about your thoughts regarding the above, however.

  4. GHL!

Need 2 WR's: Hakeem Nicks, Dwayne Bowe, Santana Moss...

Other league Need 2 WR's: Nicks, Santonio Holmes, Kenny Britt, Deion Branch...

    Thanks!!

  5. No Nick Novak (K San Diego)? That dude is clearly a top 5 kicker... even if he's a rookie.

    ReplyDelete
  6. No sir. Just forgot about him. I'd throw in in the middle there. I like the matchup. make him number 9.

  7. I think that McCluster is going to be working a lot as a mixed back with Jones. He looked good last week though. But he is no Jamal Charles, and the 2011 Chiefs are not the 2010 Chiefs.

Bad matchup this week for McCluster, so I would go with Harvin in the flex.

Cutler is playing a GB team that has given up an absolutely crazy amount of yards to Brees and Newton, so he could be a great play here.

  8. Scott could be a good long-term move when Benson is out. I like the idea. Same as below though, roll with Harvin

    ReplyDelete
  9. Nicks (should be healthy again), Moss (always a great play vs Dallas)

Nicks (same as above), Britt (having a huge year, good matchup)

  10. Novak could very well light up the Chiefs. Everyone else has been. Its really one of those things where he would be a guy in the bottom 15 on this list.. but then again, every kicker is in the bottom 15 on this list.

I think he would be a good play though.

  11. honestly, i am amazed that i even cared enough to post about it... kickers arent even football players.

  12. Hey guys,
    A few questions.
League 1: Kolb or Flacco? Flacco laid an egg last week, and I am leaning toward Kolb. Thoughts? Also, for WR, I need 3: Dez Bryant, Dev Henderson, Nate Washington, Brandon LaFell, and Plax- i HOPE Dez plays. Assuming he does, who would you take otherwise? If he doesn't? Plax laid an egg as well last week, and I would have lost had I played a stronger opponent.

League 2: Usually have little problems in this league, but here we go. Gronk or JImmy Graham at TE? This one has been tough, but I have gone with Jimmy both weeks and Gronk has out performed him. My Flex is a headache- Plax, Santonio Holmes, Beanie Wells, Frank Gore, or Jimmy Graham? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have given you guys some street cred on campus. Luckily, none of them are in my league!

  13. Love the blog, dont start my team movements without it.. thanks! one question:

14 team PPR, as my starters I have
    QB Kevin Kolb
    WR Andre Johnson
    WR Brandon Marshall
    WR Jabar Jaffney/ D. Moore.

Been asked a trade: Cam Newton and Anquan Boldin for Kolb and Brandon Marshall... should I do it?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Do I bench Lloyd with the Titans playing well against the pass? If so, who to plug in? Probably gonna grab ARI Def for this weeks matchup. Also, was thinking of grabbing Olsen or Moore at TE - you still have faith in D Clark, huh? Thanks man!

    qb - Ryan
    wr - Nicks
    wr - V. Jax
    wr - B. lloyd
    rb - McCoy
    rb - Forte
    te - D. Clark
    k - Cundiff
    d - DAL

    bench:
    Julio Jones
    D. Henderson
    Steve Smith (PHI)
    David Nelson
    Hightower
    Aaron Hernandez

  15. Should I start Matt Schaub or Ben Roethlisberger?

  16. I'm in a bind this week at WR behind VJax with Austin and Manningham out. I have Andre Roberts and Brandon Gibson to back them up and I'm not in love with them or the FA options. I think I'm comfortable playing Gibson under the assumption the Rams will be behind and the Ravens are susceptible through the air. It's a 14 teamer, so FA pickins are slim, but I'm basically trying to go boom or bust with: Titus Young, Ogletree/Holley, Preston Parker, Donald Jones, Josh Morgan, etc. Do you think any of those present a better option than Roberts?

    ReplyDelete
  17. wtf, now Clark might not play? I'd hate to drop him cuz I was going to package him with someone to trade for Gonzalez. Thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  18. i have a very solid team besides flex, so at flex should i go with nelson, greene, sproles, or julio jones

  19. It seems you guys, as well as most other rankings, have Mike Williams(tb) just ahead of AJ Green. In most cases I would agree..but owning both since draft day and looking at results over the first two weeks I am having a hard time rolling the dice again with Williams and watching AJ potentially go off on the bench again..

question is this: if you had both williams and green for WR3 spot, who would you start?

Also, similar issue with Frank Gore and Fred Jackson..so far ive fallen victim to starting Gore out of spite while Jackson leads the league in yardage. Having both who do you start, at RB2 spot: Gore or jackson?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Would like to get your opinion, how do you rank these RBs? Not this week but overall...Shonn Greene, Marshawn Lynch, Felix Jones, Roy Helu and Knowshon Moreno. Im trying to work a AP+2 of those for Darren McFadden and Ryan Matthews trade. Do you think I would be better off just letting that deal go?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Need to choose between these guys for my flex spot in a PPR league: Shonn Greene, Percy Harvin, Willis McGahee, Jordy Nelson or Eric Decker?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Do I start Mark Ingram or James Starks this week? Normally I'd go with Starks but I'm thinking Ingram might have an easier time against Houston.

    ReplyDelete
  23. GHL I have a question for you,

Anquan Boldin or Jordy Nelson at my WR3 spot?
I know you have Q ranked higher, but lately Nelson has been doing really well. What are your thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  24. TE Kendricks unranked? I might need him to go for me in a 14 team league if Gates can't play

    ReplyDelete
  25. League 1: I like Kolb this week too. Can't get a better matchup than that. Dez is hopefully good to go. Cowboys shouldnt even bother playing if he can't. Dev and Washington would be next on my list. If Dez is out. Roll with Plax.

League 2: I have Gronk one ahead of Graham this week. Based on how both teams have performed this year, NE vs BUF should be roughly 88-79 with a combined 1,450 yards throwing. Flex is definitely a headache for you. I'd pass on Plax and Wells here, and rest assured that you'll get strong points from any of the other three you put in.

I like Holmes this week, but not crazy about him. I have Gore higher though, hopefully he can pull some good numbers together this week. I frown on putting TEs in flex, but as I said, Gronk and Graham are both in my top 5 TEs.

    I'd go with Gore though.

  26. I kind of like this trade. You have to know that Newton is going to get figured out this year, but that won't stop him from putting up great numbers in some weeks. Don't expect 400 yards and 2 TDs every week. He is going to go through at least one rough patch and will probably end the year with a lot more INTs than TDs. But... he has been phenomenal, is practically already a lock for RotY. And will have very impressive games. I like him better than Kolb most weeks.
Boldin is a step behind Marshall, but the Ravens can get their act together. Boldin is far and away their best receiver and when the Raven offense is clicking, Boldin should get the work. Marshall will get more receptions, and MIA is looking to go to the air a lot more, but the matchup between the two is close.

    I'd make the trade.

  27. I'm not going to lie... that TEN/BAL game last week confused the hell out of me. I don't know what to expect from either team now. I know that TEN was good against the pass last week, and in week 1 they faced JAX which isnt a difficult task. I think that you have to keep Lloyd in there. Looking at the Titans defense from last year, we see that they really arent that spectacular.
However, if you don't like the way its looking, then go with your gut, you have two guys on your bench that I like as sleepers this week, Henderson and Nelson. Saints are still hurting at receiver and Henderson should get a lot of looks, and BUF/NE could be a shootout with Nelson getting a good amount of work.

    Think you're set everywhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I like Schaub. Ben could score points, but I think that PIT will get ahead and just run run run for the whole second half. Houston vs Saints could be a shootout where both teams see some big numbers, and with Foster out, they'll stick to the air more than usual.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like Gibson. I'm also really excited that I finally get to say this to someone.... get Ogletree! Cowboys are hurting bad at receiver, Austin is out and Dez is not 100%. They are going to have to go to someone other than Witten. I would assume that Ogletree get more love than Holley. Holley is lower on the depth chart, but his catch last week was huge and he could have gotten a lot of trust from Romo on that. I'd still role with Ogletree though. A bit more experienced.

Its a hell of a gamble, but you have to do something. Good luck with it. And please follow up next week to tell me how it went!

    ReplyDelete
  30. He will likely play, but I'm not loving him since he is hardly getting looked at like he used to. I wouldnt drop him. I would suggest finding someone else though.

    ReplyDelete
  31. None are that attractive this week. Nelson has the biggest upside, Sproles could be a nice pick if you are PPR.

    ReplyDelete
  32. If you are looking for a WR3 between those two and a RB2 between Gore and Jackson... I can't imagine you are doing that bad in your league.

I'd mix things up a bit. You obviously want it. And they are all pretty good plays this week. So go for it. Start Green and Jackson.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can see this deal happening maybe. My ranking would be F Jones, Shonn Greene, Roy Helu, Moreno, Lynch.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jordy has been the hottest of those you listed. I do have Harvin ahead of him based on the matchup though. Toss up between them. I'd roll with Harvin though.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Houston is much better against the run than they once were. And Starks should be getting a lot of love this week. I'm hesitant for every NO running back, since its really a three headed attack and a gamble whenever they play. I'd go Starks.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Boldin vs the Rams is rough, but I think you have to go with it. There is no guarantee with Nelson, especially against the Bears. Nelson has a good upside, but could also have a hard day today.

    ReplyDelete
  37. He has disappointed me. I had him starting and even with Amendola out, he did nothing. If you have to go with him, than try it, he still has big upside. But he has done nothing so far.
