Week 7 Fantasy Pick'em and Survival

And... I follow up a great week with an awful one. I guess thats what I get for bragging. Time to get back to it. Hopefully this week is better.

As far as answering questions this weekend: Its gonna have to be through Twitter. I'll be able to answer anything you have before kickoff, as long as you send it to @godhateslosers You know what to do.

Upset favorites: I'm liking the Titans to win in Buffalo. And... thats about it. Bengals over Steelers also is a bit against the grain. I was super close to saying that the Packers lose again on the road, but I think I'll stick with them.

Locks: Giants should be a lock. Same with the Cowboys who are my survival pick. Patriots should handle the Jets, it would help if every player wasn't somehow injured though.

  1. GHL,

Coming out of a good week 7 win, and I know its early, but looking for some serious help rolling into week 8 as I have a tough challenge and a weakened roster (lots of bye's and notable injuries, and weak bench warmers playing). What I'm working with so far is below. Meacham is probably my best shot FA WR, but short of listing Free Agents any recommendations on who can fill in for the overwhelming bye-weakness?

    T Romo
    N Washington
    L Fitzgerald
    [empty receiver position]
    C Johnson
    P Thomas
    J Tamme
    M Crosby
    NE Def

    B tate (BYE)
    J Gresham (BYE)
    CJ Spiller (BYE)
    S Johnson (BYE)
    M Schaub
    J Finley
    D Murray

  2. Standard Scoring League with WR/TE positions. Trade offered to me: Grahmn for Britt. I have Britt. Would you take this?

  3. Congrats. Just posted my rankings. So I hope those help you a bit.

As for the missing receiver... I don't know exactly who is available to you, but my short list of favorites who might be available this week would be... Randall Cobb, Brandon Gibson, Jeremy Kerley, Mike Williams, DHB, Josh Gordon, Chris Givens, Devery Henderson.

  4. Yeah. I probably would. Even if you already have a great TE, you are allowed to play with two of them. Britt hasn't been doing all that much. I'd personally go for it I think.

It does depend a lot on your team's makeup though. But if Britt isn't even making your starting lineup, then I say definitely yes.
